Collections Assistant Post
Part-Time Position, fixed term until Dec 2025.
£23,660 per annum, pro rata, (3 days pw)
‘Behind the Scenes at the Museum: unlocking the potential of the collections at Beck Isle Museum’ is an exciting Dynamic Collections project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project will transform access to the collections and is an important part of the museums’ strategic plan.
The museum is seeking someone with an enthusiasm for collections management to become an integral part of the project team working with the Project Manager and Engagement Officer. It is an exciting time to be joining the dedicated team at Beck Isle Museum.
The Collections Assistant is a fixed term role. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience in various aspects of collections management including cataloguing and disposals, working with volunteers and engaging audiences with objects. There is a physical aspect to this work as objects will need to be moved to different stores, and some stores are accessed by staircases or loft ladders.
